About Nur

Nur is a quiet reader for the Quran and the Sunnah. It is for study, recitation, and remembering — not a fatwa desk, and not a social network.

The Arabic on every page is Hafs from Asim, the reading most Muslims recite today. English opens as Saheeh International. Other translations, tafsir, tajweed colour, and transliteration stay off until you ask for them.

The library holds the Nine Books with their chains and the grades the compilers themselves gave. You can compare two roads of a report. That is a reader’s tool, not a ruling.

Nur is not affiliated with Quran.com, Sunnah.com, or any government, madhhab, or publishing house. The Word of Allah is not ours. The name Nur, the layout, and the software are. Write to [email protected].

What Nur is not

A mufti. We do not issue rulings.
A replacement for a teacher or a mushaf in the hand.
A place that sells your reading, your location, or your bookmarks.

Scan to open Nur on your phone

iOS notes

Open Nur in Safari — not inside X, Instagram, or Gmail.
Tap the Share button (square with an arrow up).
Scroll the sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
Name it Nur. The eight-point star sits with your apps and opens full-screen.
iPad: same steps in Safari. Split View and Stage Manager keep Nur in its own pane.
Chrome or Firefox on iPhone still use Safari’s engine — add from Safari so the icon is clean.
Nur is not on the App Store yet. If a banner says “Cannot add”, update iOS and try Safari again.
