Signs in the Horizons

This is not a fatwa, and it is not a laboratory paper. It is a reader’s book: the ayah first, then what the early mufassirun said, then what later observation of the world has made easier to see.

The Quran calls itself a Book of guidance, not a textbook of physics. The miracle that stands on its own is the speech of Allah — its challenge, its preservation, the hearts it turns. What follows are ayat in the horizons and in ourselves (41:53). They invite tadabbur. They do not replace salah, and they do not force a microscope onto a verse.

Where a modern reading is popular but the Arabic does not require it, we say so. Where classical tafsir already saw the meaning, we keep that older light. Where science is still in motion, we do not nail the Quran to this decade’s model.
