Jalalayn — the short one

Jalal al-Din al-Mahalli began it. Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti finished it. Two small books, one name. It is the tafsir students memorise in many madrasas: a few words under each phrase, in the order of the mushaf. It is not a warehouse of chains. It is a clear first reading. The full Jalalayn sits on this shelf. Word meanings under an ayah still follow Jalalayn’s Arabic when you turn that toggle on.
