Baghawi — Tabari, trimmed

Husayn ibn Masud al-Baghawi abridged the old reports and dropped many of the weakest. Teachers still call it a sound, middle book. Ibn Taymiyyah praised it. If Tabari is the warehouse, Baghawi is the shop. Arabic, on this shelf — not under the ayah.
