Maariful Quran — the Urdu school

Mufti Muhammad Shafi of Deoband, later of Karachi, dictated this tafsir in Urdu. His son Mufti Taqi Usmani and others prepared the English. It is the tafsir many South Asian homes trust: Hanafi law, Ashari-Maturidi creed, and a calm walk through each surah. English is on Nur.
