The Life of the Prophet

The most famous old book of the life of the Prophet ﷺ is the Sirah of Ibn Hisham. He took the work of Ibn Ishaq, dropped what he would not own, and left us the spine every later writer walks. The most famous modern book in English is The Sealed Nectar (Ar-Rahiq al-Makhtum) by Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri, which won the Muslim World League prize. Nur does not paste that prize volume. We tell the same life from the Quran and the sahih reports, and we name Ibn Hisham when a scene lives only in the sirah.
